I do not agree with gay marriages,if people would just read their bibles, it plainly says a man should not lay with another man, and the same goes for women. God is our father in heaven and we should listen to his word!

I support gay marriage because it is not my right to tell two people that love each other they can or can not get married. If people would leave religion out of it, this world would be a better place. You should do right because it is the right thing to do not because it says so in a book or that you will go to hell if you dont. For all those condemming others to hell you better watch out or you just might find yourself there in the afterlife.

Abomination<---------- Marriage is between Man & Woman anything else is just that.... NOTHING. If people would quit crying about Christians getting into their buisness than I would suggest using a different term or go back to the closet!

Why they want to use the term that's in the Bible for "MATRIMONY BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN"?

What if the gay people don't believe in God? What if God doesn't exist? Why can't two people that love each other be married? These are all questions that you need to answer. The main question is, Why does it matter? Because it goes against some people's beliefs? What ever happened to do not judge people?

God created man and woman...and he created a union between them that would result in procreation.....more people, because he had an earth to replenish! Marriage was "invented" by God...and through the Bible it is clear he meant it to be between only one man and one woman. As Christians, we must not in any way support gay marriages....it is an abomination to God! The Bible clearly states that God "hates"...yes it says hates, homosexuals...and he hates all sexual activity outside of wedlock, i.e. fornication or pre-marital sex, and he hates adultery...and big suprise...God hates liars.

You are probably right, Jamie, that it is not your right to tell two people who love each what they can or cannot do. It is said, "Opinions should not be given, unless they are asked for." So, having said that...I will say that Christians cannot support gay marriages if they support God. And I agree with you that we should not take something that is written in "a book" and judge people by it. But as God children, we are obligated to take what is written in God's Word, as the Gospel and abide by it! If we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord...we must obey his commands. So, our choices are made by what is written in "the Book." It is our code of conduct...to learn to abide by, as yes, we are all sinners and working to be "transformed into the image of Christ!"

My friend you are correct..but "judge not...lest you be judged" is a belief taught us by a God that does exist. So it matters because he gives us our standards to live by. He says "No" to gay marriages and we follow him.

You know what I use to believe the same as all of you. That gay marriage had to be wrong because the bible told me so. But you know what I realized? Not everyone in this country believes the same as me, or was not raised the same as me. And there is nothing wrong with that. That does not make them horrible or sick people. And it does not mean that they should be denied their right to marry the person he or she loves. We all have the freedom of religion. To believe what we wanna believe. Some people don't believe in God. I get that you argue that the bible says marriage is between a man and a woman, and is suppose to be some religious ceremony, but not all people are religious. Atheist and people of different religions get married. Hell, Kim Kardashian was married for 72 days. Why can't two people who simply love each other get married? It has NO effect on you! Gay Marriage only effects those who can't get married. Every person on this planet deserves to be happy and live the kind of life they want to live, as long as they are not hurting anyone else. Two people of the same sex getting married will not harm anyone.
