Kim Kardashian can marry some dude for a month, but a gay couple who has been together for 8 years, and is deeply in love cannot marry? There's something seriously wrong with that logic. If gays can't marry, then straight married couples shouldn't be able to get divorced. I mean, if marriage is so "traditional" & "sacred", then why does the US have a 50% divorce rate? Love is love. Why do people get so much pleasure from tearing down the happiness of others...why do you care so much about what people do in their bedroom, and what OTHER people are doing with their own lives? Maybe you should start looking at yourself.

maybe civil union or partnership.

they should be able to comit to each other i just dont think the word "merriage" should be used. civil union, or life partnership is more like it.
