I believe marriage is an institution reserved for man and woman. Let them have a civil union.

Marriage is a STATE institution. YOu need a LEGAL license to BE married.

Let the jesus freaks keep their "matrimony" in church...Marriage is a STATE institution.

Who do you think the STATE belongs to?

People, the VAST majority of which support Traditional Marriage.

State belong to NO religious opinions...it is just FACT. The license is needed to be married. NOT a church.

Get rid of your delusions of controlling this nation with your hatefilled and oppressive religion. Democrats LOVE the 2nd amendment too. It keeps crazies in line.

hating religious beliefs that support the truth about what the Holy Bible warns us about homosexuality is only expressing the hate of the sin, not the person who practice lifestyle. calling people crazy doesn't change the truth behind the wor of God. peoples choices to live the way the wish. delusions fall in the hands of those that condomn gay living and marriages. sinful lifestyle brings on delusions, not godly living. The way I see it. Christianity still holds a strong control over this nation.

No, that's your religious beliefs. You are entitled to them. Don't think your god likes gays and wants them married under his religion, then it's real simple. don't marry them in your religious ceremony.

But marriage is a state institution, hence, the marriage license which everyone must apply for to get LEGALLY married.

See?

No. I'm not gay. These are STATES' rights...they should be upheld for EVERYONE.

You don't want a gay person to enter into "HOly matrymony" in your church, then deny it. But the MARRIAGE LICENSE is issued by the courts and comes from the state legislatures laws and THAT is for ALL persons...

The vast majority always opposed minority rights. You think slavery would have ended by popular vote? Was interracial marriage voted on?

Does that really matter anyway? I'm straight and a firm believer that love comes in many different ways. Many agree.

until you have proof more stable than your book that has been poorly translated and changed through the years, i will believe that i will burn in hell for my "sins" of being homosexual. your blind faith does not deter the fact that some women are born attracted to women and some men are born attracted to other men. your religion does not apply to everyone.

then they want to adopt children? It can be ruff on the kids. Or embarassing when they become older. No I do not support same sex marriage. Let them have there life and leave them alone. We would welcome them in our church..god is love to everyone. But limits must be set in our world or everything would be accepted. That's the problem now in our world! God created Adam & Eve not Adam & Steve!!!! For a reason.

You should probably keep up on your state laws. Last I knew, Single Parents who are gay can already adopt within the state of Indiana, and it doesn't prohibit joint adoption either.

As it is now, I wouldn't consider this a war against religon, but more so a war against a dying culture. My parents and grandparents and those before them were raised in a small minded world, and unfortunately that still takes place today. This great nation was once at the forefront, but slowly we are slipping back into a 3rd world neanderthol way of thinking and being, and it shows. Our economy hasn't been this bad since the depression, due to backwoods thinking. Canada allows gay marriage, England allows gay marriage etc, etc, and they all seem to be doing just fine, actually better than we are. So maybe it's time to shake off the dust from our boots and take a step into the new modern world. A place where everyone within this County can once again have a dream, and see that dream come true.

I'm just wondering on how you know what it is like and would be like for the children of a same sex marriage? What factual proof do you have to back up that statement?

I find it hard to understand and accept how a people can believe in something so strong, that taught of nothing but love and being non judgemental, that they themselves, believe they have a right to pass judgement on anyone given thing.
