The institution of marriage, as God has stated in the Bible, is to remain intact, no matter what, except if a husband, or wife, commits adultery. That is the only reason God condones divorce. Once again, it is sinful ways that destroys a marriage.

Um, actually, God doesn't condone divorce. There's this thing the Catholic Church thought up called annulment. Look it up. If you can't even preach to us correctly, maybe you should rethink what you're preaching to gays.

I'm just on vacation in Dubai, they have polygamy here. We won the battle against bigamy in the 1800, it's a federal crime to have more than one wife.

Keeping marriage as is, between husband and wife, is the centrist mainstream view. Criminalizing homosexual behavior or radically redefining marriage to include two men or two women are the extremist radical views.

Everyone has the right to be happy. No bigots can take that from someone they don't like.

Keeping marriage between husband and wife isn't an act of bigotry; it's reverence for your mother and father, the male/female nature of the human condition.

Keep marriage between man and woman because that's how it works better for children.

Although religions claim marriage is a bond between man and woman and that that bond can't be made with a same sex couple, it is actually only referring to the couple theoretically being able to have children. Marriage should be between two people and their love for each other, not whether or not their genders are able to produce offspring. How can we claim the States are a free country when, in reality, our people aren't even allowed to love themselves?

There are different aspects of love such as respect, concernfor,
affection. All good for all genders. Then there is love as in the sex act. This is where perversion comes in. As for self love - I believe that masturbation is legal when done in the privacy of one's home. Go for it Cath!

Cath, nothing in Federal or State law stops people being allowed to love themselves, what law are you talking about? What we're doing is stopping one group from redefining marriage to suit sexual predilection, so all the other sexual minorities don't get the idea that's a 'right'. We're just upholding common sense and human nature by keeping marriage between husband and wife, like its always been.

Agree or disagree with it.....your choice. I guess the only question I have is - How does what happens in someone else's home or life affect your life? Is there some direct correlation between two women or two men marrying each other and your livelihood being threatened? Hey, no one is being forced to agree with gay marriage. You may disagree all day long. But that doesn't mean it's okay to try to squash (outlaw) another person's livelihood simply because you disagree with it.

Treat others the way you want to be treated doesn't mean we have to kiss anyone's ass. No one is saying because you or I may disagree with gay marriage that we need to bend over backwards and welcome it into our lives with open-arms. It just means accepting others for who they are and not attempting to change people to fit our perception of "normal".

The question isn't how someone else's life affects your life, the question is, how a government that disregards gender differences can harm your life. The question, should a captain, when forced to abandon ship, order "Women and children first!" or would that be a courts martial for sexism?

Gays know gender is very significant; they have gender preferences of their own. I respect gay people, and wouldn't want them forced to ignore gender differences. Same sex marriage harms everyone.

Doe's it really harm anyone else, if they allow people to be gay and marry? Should'nt they have the right of happiness, also? Why would anyone interfere?

I a gay couple marries at their church, nobody has the right to interfere. If a gay couple want's taxpayer provided entitlements for same sex dependent beneficiaries, that's another story.

We can't afford same sex marriage, we can't afford traditional marriage so we won't take on more debt.
