I know a lot of hillbillies aren't going to like to read this, but then again its not like most of them can read anyway. Homosexuality is like the confederacy. It's not something to be proud of and should be kept away from the view of young impressionable minds. Homosexuality is disgusting, unnatural and what lead to the downfall of previous empires. If you want to give the keys over to the Chinese, then continue on with the buggery. Gay marriage is more detrimental to the well-being of our country than terrorists or even the Tea Party!

I don't think we should ruin the institution of marriage but they should have a way to recieve the same rights as a married couple if tha is their choice.

holdon here folks!! first of all let us get rid of the bible crap, that is nothing but a book written and re-written time and time again!

gay people should have all the rights as you "straight" people, it is a matter of benefits, as employers heath insurance, death benefits etc.

is it fair that a guy spends his whole life with another man and gets nothing! now that is wrong

think about it i can remember when it was against the law when blacks and whites could NOT get married as well, time to get with the times

You hold on!! You are wrong about the Bible. Many of us live the God fearing way. It has many rewards here on earth and will in eternity. We believe homosexuality is wrong, because the Bible says it is wrong. There is no getting with the times, because God is the same yesterday, today and forever. It is your choice to be an unbeliever, but it is our choice to believe in God.

He who is without sin shall throw the first stone. It is not our place to decide how people should live their lives. All citizens are entitled to the same rights. If they choose to be with the same sex then that is their choice and should have the same rights as we do. That does not mean that marriage and it's institution has to be compromised. They can recieve the same rights without changing a long standing institution.

I am not gay, but I believe people should be able to live they way they want to without being criticized for it. Let gay men and women be. They aren't doing anything wrong. At least gay men keep their homes clean, that's more than most straight men can say. lol.

If you would actually read the Bible then you would realize that a lot of things you do are wrong too. Glass houses. lol If you feel the need to preach the Word then you shouldn't just pick out the parts that suit your arguments.

Guilty of the least, guilty of the whole. If you commit adultery in your mind it is the same as committing the act of adultery. Don't judge others if you don't want to be judged. God will judge and he has managed to handle the situations without your help.

If gays want to marry let them marry. It doesn't affect me in any way. They already are allowed to put their life partners on their medical insurance policy through their employer, they can adopt kids, they can claim each other on taxes, etc. The only thing that's left is the wedding service and the document. They are already at the point of living as a married couple so what does it matter to you if they are allowed to have a preacher say I pronounce you husband and husband or wife and wife. Who really cares and what difference does it make to you and your life anyway ?

Since there is no more common lkaw marriages in most states then straight couples living together are the ones being discriminated against because of their choices. They can't put their life partner on their medical insurance. Their situation is frowned upon when attempting to adopt a child. The agencies either want them to be single or to go ahead and marry the person they are living with. The gays are crying about not being able to get married because the straight world says no. They know by crying and whining and getting the liberal nut job politicians on their side they will get what they want because their crying has worked so many times before.

Let them marry and make each other just as miserable as the rest of the legally married couples. Who gives a rat's ass what they do ?

As long as that freedom and equality is for people that you feel should have it. If they disagree with you then they don't deserve freedom or equality...they deserve to be eliminated, remember ? Weren't you and another poster fighting about that ? You probably forgot to remember that. lol

I agree with you and though I am straight myself and we are taught to believe otherwise,it doesn't matter to me as they say,"To each his own." I know I have read this from Ky.to Tn.just tonight, must be something in the water..LOL.This is the first that I have posted anywhere on this subject.
