I stand on the side of LOVE. More than 50% of heterosexual marriages end in divorce. How many of the remaining percentage is happily married? Same sex marriages will not harm anyone.

WHY?? Is the subject of Gay Marriage such a popular subject? Get over it and move on..whenever this subject or any other subject that doesn't comply with the bible teachings...it's thrown into the lion cage. To be devoured bit by bit..nevermind that we are speaking of personal feelings of a human being. Love is love, it's meant to be shared between each one of us. LOVE could care less if you are of the same sex, older or younger, skin color difference, culture of another country, or of different religion..IT FREAKIN' DOESN'T CARE...it's a GIFT FROM GOD!! Use it or lose it...everyone needs to be treated as "Equals". I admire a Gay couple who wants to be married and WHY shouldn't they be treated as the same as a traditional marriage couples? They want to be together, is that's so wrong? WHO are you or me to judge anyone...we do not have that right..only Our Creator has that right...Only HE.

Supporting love does not require supporting gay marriage. You are free to love anyone but the State doesn't have to sanction it as a legal bond. I love lots of people, including my siblings, that the State should not recognize in a legal marriage.
Civilization is defined by the limits that define its collective morality. That the parties in a marriage must be of opposite sex is just one of those limits. Their relationship to one another, their species, and their number (aka polygamy) are just a few others. There was a time (even in my lifetime) where each of those limits was equally sacred.
But now some claim a "civil right" to defy one of those limits and then feign shock and offense by the idea that anyone would put it in the same category as the others.
Don't fool yourself. Ten years from now, some will be claiming a "civil right" to marry themselves (or their sister or their car...) in order to gain tax, insurance and other benefits of a union that is sanctioned by the State.
Love whomever you like. It trivializes your argument to claim that anyone is suggesting otherwise.

Ya know, I agree Love and be with whomever you choose. That little piece of legal bonding paper isn't all what is cracked up to be. It can create bitterness, jealousy and hatred between the two of you.You feel bound, because you are legally connected. When you should feel bound by the love connecting you. If you feel compelled to have something in writing and is legal for your love interest....include them in your will. At least you'll know they'll be cared for after you pass...the love you shared will continue on...
