Its' explosive growth an acceptance is the # 1 sin that is a sign that we are right at the end of the world.

Doesnt everyone have the right to be happy? And people have been gay for ever and were still pluggin away in this world. remember oppinions are like a******s every one has one and most of em stink! Get used to it same sex relationships are here to stay!

someone told me one time everybody has someone in thier family that is gay so I was thinking what if a member came out as gay would I care about them less ? no I would want them to be happy

Homosexual marriage is not the only kind of marriage that is not legal. Polygamy has been debated for years and is still illegal, incestuous marriages are illegal as well. If we decide to change the boundaries for marriage using the "adults should be able to do what they want" reason, then ALL types of marriage should be allowed under the same thought process.

Polygamy and incest are both illegal. Two consensual homosexuals in a relation is not illegal. Glad to clear that up for you.

Marriage and monogamy are good for society and research supports that most people are happiest when married. Gay couples should receive the same rights afforded other couples who are married. I do NOT believe that marriage is for the sole purpose of procreation. Thankfully, we do not require this as a prerequisite for marriage, since there are many of hetero couples who cannot or do not have children. Plenty of unmarried people are procreating enough to make up for the deficit of procreation that may be attributed to gay couples. On the other hand, many gay couples can provide a good home for children who need one, just as other couples do.

The institution of marriage is about providing stability for society through responsible procreation, as well as for assuring that the needs of CHILDREN, including both a mother and a father, are met.

Since people of the same sex cannot create children, government has no vested interest in authorizing or putting a legal 'stamp of approval' upon same-sex arrangements.

Marriage is a foundational societal institution, NOT a licensing of 'love' or sexual orientation.
