Gay Marriage Debate - Eureka, CA

Duh.

I honestly feel that people need to be careful with what they say. When you generalize Christians to all being homophobics, it's similar to generalizing all gay people to being anti-religious. Some of us interpret The Bible a different way, but still believe that Jesus came to this earth, died for our sins, and saved us from hell. That happens to include anyone in any sort of relationship. When Christians openly oppose same sex relationships in a deplorable, derogatory way it makes me sad to know that no matter what, God loves everyone and I'm sure He wouldn't appreciate the hate being spread and the hate that this issue has caused.

I personally am a full Bible thumping Christian, but I'm also someone who believes that everyone deserves equal rights. I know that seems hard to fathom, but we do exist. Give some of us a chance?

While I disagree with your point of view on the matter, I largely respect how you went about presenting it. You are the way people should be about this kind of topic, instead of the hate that seems to be so prevalent.

If you let what others do define the sanctity of your life than it is you with the problem. Live and let live, and in this case, let love.

Separation of religion and state.

If you don't like gay marriage, don't get one. What other people do does not affect you, you're marriage or life.

regardless of sexuality, all people should have the same rights.
