In the words of Horton the elephant, "A person is a person, no matter how small." Non heterosexuals deserve equal rights simply because they are people.

God made both sexes for a reason. It is not normal for gay marriages. What is happening to our society today? People need to step back and really think about what is going on here!

All major religious faiths consider marriage to be a sacred union between a man and a woman, blessed by God. All major faiths consider homosexual behavior to be sinful, or even worse, an abomination.

Whether you like those facts or not, or think they are unfair, is irrelevant. The facts are what they are, even if they may hurt your feelings.

Calling homosexual behavior "marriage" is an insult to any person of genuine faith. It's the equivalent of spitting in the face of God and mocking His laws and our traditions. It also belittles the sacred vows of traditional marriage and of traditional family.

That said, personally I don't think the state has any legitimate authority to issue marriage certificates. This should be done by the couple's church, temple, synagogue, mosque, parish, etc. To me, marriage is a religious pact between a man and woman. I believe the marriage certificate issued by the state is only another tax or fee used to bilk us out of our money. The state should stay out of it.

I also believe anyone should be able to leave their possessions/wealth to any person of their choosing, tax free. Why should the government get to double dip? And anyone should be permitted to appoint a person of their choosing to conduct their personal and business affairs if they pass away or become incapacitated. All of that is simply common sense.

If people want to shack up, have homosexual sex, and call themselves "life partners," or whatever, it's really not my business. I do think homosexual behavior is nasty and unnatural. That doesn't make me a bigot, it simply makes me someone that hasn't yet been brainwashed by the big media, social-engineering, left wing extremists. Diversity of thought is a GOOD thing, despite what the left would have you believe. Some of us do still esteem traditional family and values.

The bottom line -- calling a homosexual relationship, "marriage" is completely inappropriate. If you refuse to follow God's laws in conducting your personal lives and/or relationships, why would you try to invoke His blessing upon it? It makes no sense, and is actually quite insulting to people of genuine faith.

Separation of church and state, or have you religious zealots completely forgotten your elementary school education. The USA was founded on religious freedoms.

It is no wonder that people dislike religious freak. The lot of you do not care about anyone but themselves.

You think that traditional marriage is sacred? Pffft, LMFAO! Just look at your divorce rates! Want to make traditional marriage sacred and call gay marriage something else, first start by outlawing divorce. Let's see if that can be done. And before you go start sprouting off about procreation, that means that heterosexuals couples that cannot have children are not allowed to marry, as they cannot procreate.

Think people. 2012 here, hello? We are no longer in the dark ages.

Just a little something more before I leave to go to work to pay for your roads being built, your kids to go to school and more with my federal tax dollars.

I challenge anyone and everyone who opposes gay marriage to give me one LEGITIMATE reason why they are against it.

Religion is not legitimate as that violates the separation of church and state.

You may say it's unnatural. My reply is that over 300 animals have been documented in same sex relationships/pairings.

Give me something other than your opinion, with sound proof through science and whatever that can back up your reasoning.

So I leave with you...Please give me one good, legitimate reason why you are against gay marriage?

I will check when I get home from work. Have a great day Topix!
