Thales wrote: <quoted text> I know you don't go to church because you try and read your bible instead, but that doesn't mean you comprehend it. I previously quoted JC from the bible saying he came to fulfill the law and to validate the prophets. You deny JC's plain talk and instead claim he really says he's "ended the curse of the Book of Law". You are too stupid to understand the simplest of text. You being a great sinner, and a denier of JC quotes from the bible, I know JC might have to make a special intermediary plea to yahweh to save your wretched soul. No wonder you are so good at ducking issues and word twisting;you learn it from your atheist websites. Christians follow very little from the Old Testament...except for the Ten Commandments and a few other passages. Try to get up to speed. For the most part, Christians follow the New Testament. I may be a great sinner but the one unforgiveable sin is blasphemy, which you have committed numerous times on this thread.

If you think about it, prostitutes pay taxes to, and so do common criminals. Why do police deny them their rights? America pushed God under the bus and appointed God's job to the federal government. Our new god, the Federal Government, decides for us who has equal rights and who doesn't. Get used to it. I don't think our new god is going away anytime soon.

Your god yahweh is the same one that some jewish people call god. Yahweh is jewish and Israeli, you know. That is way you support Israel, because yahweh is your god, and yahweh is jewish and Israeli. If you are still confused about this idea, speak with John Hagee; John Hagee is one of your modern prophets. I find it amazing I've got to inform you of the rather obvious. Have you considered Ginkgo Biloba?

Yahweh designated the jewish people to be chosen people, a special people with a special covenant with yahweh. Jewish people pray to yahweh because jewish people are the only children of yahweh. Gentiles are not jewish, so they are not children of yahweh. The only way for a gentile to approach and gain favor with yahweh is through JC. Why must I educate you on basic bible knowledge? I realize you have very limited reading comprehension skills.

Jews are the the children of Israel, not God. Show me the verse that says God is a Jew.
It looks to me God is a little more than disgusted with Jews, considering their track record.

Crucial to the Jewish notion of chosenness is that it creates obligations exclusive to Jews, while non-Jews receive from God other covenants and other responsibilities. Generally, it does not entail exclusive rewards for Jews. Classical rabbinic literature in the Mishnah Avot 3:14 has this teaching: Rabbi Akiva used to say, "Beloved is man, for he was created in God's image; and the fact that God made it known that man was created in His image is indicative of an even greater love. As the verse states [Genesis 9:6],'In the image of God, man was created.')" The mishna goes on to say, "Beloved are the people Israel, for they are called children of God; it is even a greater love that it was made known to them that they are called children of God, as it said,'You are the children of the Lord, your God. Beloved are the people Israel, for a precious article [the Torah] was given to them ...

Ok, we now got you to understand god that JC is 100% jewish.
Here's the difficult part for you....
If JC is 100% jewish, and he is the son of god, what does that make god the father?
The answer: Jewish.
And to what name do jewish people refer to god?
Yahweh, yhwh, Jehovah, etc.
So, here's the rational conclusion:
Your god is named yahweh and he is jewish. Moral of the story: if you use a bit of rationality in your daily chores, it can lighten your burden.

Considering you claim to be someone who has to have proof positive in all things you believe, you sure are quick to believe God is a Jew. However, yet you cannot provide me the proof. I still have read nothing or seen any proof that says God was a Jew. The only proof would be from the Bible, so I am waiting to read the verse that defines God as a Jew.

hocking county wanna be wrote: wiki.answers? lmao Again, no answers from the Bible. A wiki is not Wikipedia, Meathead. Though you require it, I can't always spoon feed you. You are going to have to do some effort on your own to get answers. Clicking a weblink is not difficult for most people, but in your case I understand there are severe limitiations. If you need me to spoonfeed you the answers I can do that, but it is depressing dealing with your limitations, knowing that stupidity can be infinite, as Einstein has said about your kind.

hocking county wanna be wrote: wiki.answers? lmao Again, no answers from the Bible. Here's the information, that I must spoon-feed to a bouncing baby boy... Jesus is described throughout the four New Testament gospels as being a Jew. Matthew 1:1-17 and Luke 3:23-38 give the genealogy of Jesus, with King David and Abraham as ancestors. Luke's version is slightly different, possibly because it contains some of the forefathers of Mary. This is important, as in the oldest code used in Judaism to religiously define a Jew, the Jewish faith can only be derived from a Jewish mother. If we accept the historicity of Jesus, then he was a Jew descended from some of the most important Jews of Israel, living in the then Jewish land of Judea / Palestine, who studied Jewish law closely enough to be called Rabbi (Master/Teacher)(John 3:2, 4:31 & 6:25). He claimed to have come to fulfill "the Law" (Matthew 5:17). He worshipped in the Temple from the first time his parents took him to Jerusalem at Passover (Luke 2:39-41). Even his Last Supper was celebrating the Jewish festival of Passover. There are, however, some that claim, for various reasons, that Jesus was not a Jew. This is often because he sought to change the strict, codified, "Old Testament" version of Judaism. Unfortunately, there are also some that seem to take offence, for outwardly religious or racial reasons, that the basis of "their" Christian faith was Jewish: they seem to take the vehement opinion that he was not Jewish. It is difficult to see how history, geography and the Gospels could lead one to the same conclusion. See also: Luke 6:1-5, in which the Pharisees are outraged that Jesus and his Jewish followers appear to be breaking the rules of the Sabbath. Matthew 21:8-9, in which the people of Jerusalem acclaim Jesus as the "Son of David" ( the King of Israel) on Palm Sunday . John 2:15 (and similar accounts in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke), when Jesus objects strongly to the presence of moneychangers in the Temple, which, he points out, should be "a house of prayer". Luke 4:16, in which Jesus goes to the synagogue on the Sabbath "as His custom was" and got up to read there.
