Two consenting adults in love should be able to get married. As an atheist that got married in a church, it does not seem fair to allow atheists to marry just because we can fake being religious for a couple of hours or get married at city hall. Are atheists next on your list? Hitler would be proud of your struggle, ya zealots.

In a world filled with so much violence and suffering, we should not be fighting against the love of two consenting adults. The world needs more love. Can you explain love to your kids?

I believe they should be able to get similar benefits, i.e. medical, etc. but am opposed to a legal marriage as traditionally defined because of my religious beliefs. If they want to live together, have a legal contract regarding death benefits, etc. then let them do it.

All people have the right to marry, the question is to whom. Gov't has an interest in protecting traditional family because the family produces the next generation. When homosexual couples say "me too", they lie to the children who deserve one male and one female parent.

Everyone should be entitled to marry the person they fall in love with. As long as it is between 2 adults then its no ones buisness.

The general public of California voted no, that should be good enough. We have a legal system, if you don't agree with it, then go to another country

Time and time again homosexual couples have exhibited a higher respect for marraige than quite a few heterosexual couples, if Kim Kardashian's utter fiasco is any indication, and perhaps that's the only good thing to come of it. Why deny two perfectly decent and faithful human beings who love each other to get married when some men and women who could care less about each other violate the sanctity of marraige hourly? Besides missing this union, some benefits of legal marraige in the US are restricted to homosexual couples: e.g, they cannot, sometimes, share health insurance, and this can lead to illness and death. Some day this restriction will be viewed as ridiculous and pointless as the denial of voting rights to blacks and and women simply because of a skin color and gender. On top of this, I have homosexual couples in my life who have taken the place of my biological family-- my biological family has gone through numerous divorces, remarraiges, affairs, and petty disagreements, multiple times with the same person. Meanwhile, these homosexual couples respect and love one another and me, and have been together for an extremely long time with no drama and the best morals. I think it's we of the self-entitled nose-in-the-air straight community who need a reality check.

who is it hurting? Straight people know they're straight, just as gay people know they're gay. Just because straight marriages are legal doesn't make me want one! And I'm straight people would assume the opposite opinion :)

It is only right too. God loves everyone. God cannot hate. If God does not hate Satin. How could God hate those who are queer?
