God said Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. But in the end they have to anser to God and nobody else. But when children are in the picture they need to be considered.

I am opposed to this on the basis of my beliefs. My understanding of the natural order of things, and my belief in creation from the standpoint of a Christian lead me to believe that gay marriage is affirming something that goes against nature and against creation.

I understand that others do not hold these views, and I support their right to disagree. I also support a person's right not to be a Christian, but I understand that exercising these right will have consequences.

If you are a Christian, it is a sin to be gay. You have a right to be anti-gay. Stand up for whats right. Hate is wrong. I don't hate gay people, but I am against it, and gay marriage, and I have a right to be that way.

This discussion is old and tired. No one has the right to demand inequality for other people just because of lifestyle choices made by consensual adults.

The discussion is supposed to be about gay marriage, not the moralities and agenda of the christian societies. If it is a political issue, as is gay marriage being a "civil right", then religion has no place in the debate. Sure, I understand that your own personal hang-ups may cause you to vote one way or another, but flashing moral and religious constrictions is only going to damage your cause. People once thought it was wrong for women to vote, for interracial couples to marry, it's the same issue. Over time people will realize that there is no harm in allowing a certain group of people a right or privilege that is already granted to everyone. My main theme here, is if you don't plan on marrying someone who is in fact homosexual, then the issue of gay marriage is not yours to discuss.

how can i suport gay marriage?...straight people cant even do it right. so to the gay people that might end up married some day i would suggest that you dont use straight people as a model to go by...their rate of divorces speaks for their luck with it

Seriously, straight people suck at it. Maybe if you gave gays a chance they could teach us a thing or two. lol. What's to say they won't care for their children as good as, or better than a straight couple Darlene? Have you EVER spent a considerable time around any of them? I think before anyone should be allowed to vote against, they should have to do so.

so does DIVORCE but straight people (the christians with the highest rate of it) seem to embrace it like its some sort of salvation. i dont suport gay marriage..repeat i DO NOT suport gay marriage but i think corning arkansas has many many many other problems that are sinful and detramental to this town and these problems are destroying it.....yet all you hear is how much gay has hurt the world..GAy has little to nothing to do with why there is so much lying and cheating and stealing and drugs and divorce in corning....the gays i know in corning are productive citizens and arent wrapped up in half the crap that 99% of corning christians are..i could list Christian after Christian in this town who has MAJOR problems with immoral behavor that has torn down the work and calling of Christ...so to all of the gays and other less than perfect people dont listen to these people..the same kinda self righeous hypocrites found fault with a perfect man 2000 years and nailed that man to a cross....oh btw maybe there should be Divorce Bashings going on in town like their are Gay Bashings...Oh but wait..no that cant happened cause 95% of the people in this town would get the hell beat out of them

oh and yeah to all those that SCREAM that there will be consequences for being gay ..you are so right but there will be consequences for the way people lead their life in the straight world too. They will answer for their immoral behavior and for the way they have taken the holy institution of marriage and made a sham of it..its sad they say they care so much about protecting the institution of marriage until you go to the court house and see how they really care. DIVORCE DIVORCE DIVORCE DIVORCE....lol this is reality folks. its common sense

So what you are saying is that if you are gay, then you can't believe in God? You can't go to church every Sunday and worship our lord? That is where you are wrong. God turns no one away!
