Ha! Margaret! That is classically great! Somehow the Bible got rewritten in the last 50 years. Abortion and gay marriages are a choice now. I remember somewhat of a quote in the Bible that "Homosexuality is an abomination before the Lord".
Well I am agnostic. I really could care less if there are gays and they want to get married. I prefer anykind of love going on instead of stupid wars.
Abortion on the other hand I am totally against. The miracle of life is sacred. I have had friends that had premature births beyond my imagination and the children grew up to be great people. There are so many other options out there to decline from aborting. Well I have taken a stand here. Try to get someone running for office to do that!

I guess politics are already dead for me because of the above message. "Agnostic, I could care less about gays, and then anti-abortion. I couldn't run for dog catcher.

I believe we should be able to decide who we love, regardless of sex, or race. All these old fashioned people need to get over it..it's 2010, and they have a right to be as happy as us straight people.

someone told me to come post over here.

I could go into a huge speel, but I will agree disagree. Do whatever you want, but just know of the consequences of your choices. That is all.

Why does it matter if you let two people in love get married? Heaven forbid, two men get married and ruin the sanctity of marriage when 70% of straight marriages end in divorce!

I am one of the 18,000 legally married gay male couples in CA. Born in Columbia.

My parents were great when they were alive. It's my "Jesus freak cult siblings and their children" who make it uncomfortable when I come home. Won't come back to Columbia for a long time; if ever.

I am one of the 18,000 legally married gay couples in CA. Grew up in Columbia and don't even know or want to be around my siblings (parents are deceased)because this cult Jesus stuff over the last 20 years has stolen the decency from them. My parents were real Christians who loved all of us equally. My siblings and their children made it so uncomfortabel for me recently that I would never return. Glad to be away from that environment. It's scary how toxic the turn from real Christianity to self-serving ones has made me want to turn away from God. Scary times.

Why does government recognize marriage at all? Marriage is (or isn't) a religious ceremony, nothing more. If you and whatever partner you choose, would like to form a business relationship, go ahead. Draw up a contract, call it what you like, and have at it.

Being gay is not a sin. It's the lustiful indulgence of self serving pleasure that become problematic gay or strait. Putting the desires of man above those of God, again problematic. Man in his arrogance cannot redefine what God has made abundantly clear.

Marriage is between a man and woman, is a holy unity. Gay is not okay, it is a crime against nature. I don't wish them any harm, but I also will never agree with their lifestyle.
