Gay Marriage Debate - Columbia, MD

It is my belief, being gay is a normal lifestyle for some, and deserve the same rights as any other citizen.

I cannot LEGALLY deny someone their fair shot at a husband or wife simply because they happen to have been born a male or female, respectively.

More cleverly, the final of the "Women's Rights" this country must assert is a woman's right to a wife, should she seek one as men do.

It's all a matter of too many people minding other peoples business.

It seems like an ultimate selfishness for one person to say two consenting adults can't marry because they themselves are uncomfortable with it, whether they back it up by citing one of a number of religions or merely personal distaste as the reason.

It would just suck really hard to be gay and want to get married someday and not be able to.

If you don't like gay marriage, then just don't do it yourself. You don't need to muddy and destroy the love lives of other people for something you're not even a part of.

It really odd how the side that always whines about freedom and liberty want to deny the same to a group of people...

I think that everyone should have the right to marry whoever they want.

Why can't two people who love each other be protected equally under the law?

It's time they have the right same as everyone else. Straight and proud to be an ally

Let peOple love who they want and let them enjoy the benefits that marriage provides. Put yourself in their shoes. Would you want anything less?
