I'm not gay or lesbian but I don't propose that I should be the one to be able to tell others that they cannot. I'm not better than everyone else so I'll just live and let live.

I agree. I am neither pro-gay marriage, nor am I against it. I am only against giving them special rights and privileges, simply because they are gay, that are not extended to straight people. Being gay does not make them better or more special than straight people.

I don't know which Kool-Aid you are drinking (Beck and Hannity flavor?). I'm not gay either, and think the government has no business regulating any personal relationships between adults. However, I really don't see where they could be getting "special rights and privileges?" Please name some.

One example is GOOGLE which extends married couple rights to non-married gay couples. These same rights are not extended to straight couples who are not married. Sounds like discrimination to me. I don't think that you read my entire post. I never said that I was against gay marriage, I could actually care less. What I said was that I don't care if they marry as long as they, married or non-married, are not given rights or privileges that are not extended to straight couples, marries or non-married. Keep things on an equal playing field. Straights are not special because they are straight, gays are not special because they are gay. Fairness for everyone, not just the groups you support.

I think everybody has the right to love whomever they chose. Even if it grosses us out, gay romance? Gross, but if they like it fine.

And the gay folks I've met no more shove it in anybodies face than we straight folks do. I think YOU pay more attention to them! Being gay is not like all they are, they are somebodies children, they employees and employers ... etc. Is your entire identity based on just your sexual preferences? Springs has that stupid and gross get together every year. They have that crap all over the country. You see these freaks go into church, disrupt the service, all intended to be in your face. Any 'solution' as you put it, from my perspective would be for homosexuals to keep it to themselves. As I posted before, I don't want to see transvestites, queers, nambla, or any other group walking down the streets. It is disgusting. I don't want to pick up the paper the day after and on page one is some transvestite plastered in color, while I'm trying to eat breakfast, or watch TV and they put that crap on. That is my solution. Let them do what they wish, I don't want to see it.

Heterosexual or homosexual practice is very personal and many times offensive, and as you point out in one of your paragraphs, sometimes not a pretty sight. Keep it behind close doors, and have some decency. That is what I am saying, but then, you already know that.

It's not natural. Also poses several additional health risks. Not only STD's, but increase likely hood of being assaulted,committing suicide, substance abuse ect. Not a happy lifestyle.

Why should only straight couples know the hassle of divorce... the gays should have the same right to misery as straights.
