Gay Marriage Debate - Clanton, AL

The Bible says it is wrong for "a man to lay with a man as a man should lay with a woman" It also says it is an abomination to the Lord. What else is there?

Homosexuality does not seem to matter in the eyes of the courts these days. There was evidence in my divorce(in my ex-wife's psychiatric records) of her lesbian relationship. There was also evidence of her prostitution, drug and alcohol addiction, child abuse, etc. Courts do not care. We are in trouble.

also, the Bible does say homosexuality is wrong. But Jesus came to fulfill his duties so our sins could be forgiven. The Bible says women should shut up and do as they are told. The bible says you should beat your children. The Bible says a lot of things. But you do not live by it. Jesus says no person is capable of being righteous. I don't judge your sins. You have no right to judge mine. For the only judgement that does not beget judgement is righteous judgement. And no man can deliver that.

America is the land of the free, that means everybody should have the same rights, denying gays the right to marry, or any right for that matter, is no different than denying black people human rights.

I thank people should mind there own buisness,and since u seem to thank u knw so much the bible also says its not your place to judge others.Its not up to you to deciede who is right are wrong we all sin everyday ,all day.So next time thank before you talk!!!!!!

Whoah!! Who reads the bible nowadays?

I'm not religious (at all)(ever) but I am a traditionalist and I do believe that marriage is for a man and a woman, why not have civil partnerships for Gay unions like we do in the UK - you get the legal rights as if you were married.

Because civil unions in fact do NOT carry the same legal advantages.I could care less what they call it. There should be equal rights under the law.
