All people should have the same rights under our laws. It takes nothing away from anyone else to allow gay people to marry and be treated equal. People who protest these rights are just haters and want to control what other people can do or not do. But don't go trampling on their rights. Oh no...they are hard working, God fearing, law abiding Americans and they'll take up arms against you if deny them any rights.

Marriage by definition is a covenant between a man and a woman.

Back in the closet with em. If there was no tax benefits they'd still be hiding in the closets. What's this world coming to anyway? Give them this freedom and then try stopping these wackos from marrying their dogs, cats and maybe there own children. Damn, what a messed up world we live in!

If you loved someone but couldn't marry them because of some crappy law. Is that right? Is it right to not let someone marry the person they love with all their hearts because of someone's "definition?"

Marriage comes with certain privileges because it promotes a healthy union between a man and a woman. No one is saying someone who is gay can't be together. By all means gay people can live there lives together and even take legal steps that would allow them to inherit each others belongings. But don't diminish the NATURAL union between two adults of the opposite sex.

nothing lower than that - it is a choice, so go away. Mike wrote: Back in the closet with em. If there was no tax benefits they'd still be hiding in the closets. What's this world coming to anyway? James, it is indeed a choice, I'm just tired of your choices being pushed down peoples throats. If you think being gay is something you want to do, do it in the privacy of your own home, not boast about it in front of children or at the St. Paddy's Day parade, we don't care!

Mike, I'm pretty tired of heterosexuality being pushed down peoples throats. If you think being straight is something you want to do, do it in the privacy of your own home, not boast about it in front of children or at the St. Paddy's Day parade -- I don't care!
And if you truly "didn't care", then you wouldn't care about this law either. Which you obviously do, as you're voting and commenting.

First off gay guy, we don't push anything anywhere much less in parades, and yes I do care and vote.
If this is such a cut and dried thing for you, tell me why most states have banned this gross activity and why others have repealed it after it's been passed? The majority of the country is unsure how to treat this repulsive issue.
