The BIBLE teaches against in from the beginning to the end. If 2 men or 2 women could procreate and be fruitful and multiply the earth then God would have ordained it to be. But the divine order was and still is male and female.

God loves everyone! If you took your energy and put it towards helping those in need rather than get on here and bash gays maybe the world wouldn't be such a shit hole to live in.

Bev, the bible also says you're not allowed to shave. Bet you still shave though.
Christianity. The main influence in intolerance.

We live in a society of free views and rights, how could you make these choices based on a single aspect of your being such as religion.

Forbidding two people who love each other and have formed a strong interpersonal bond to marry because they happen to be the same gender is just another form of oppression. It was not long ago that "miscegenation" was illegal in many states, and now it is looked on as an absurd and cruel restriction on individual's freedome of choice.

In a couple of decades the "debate" over gay marriage will be seen the same way. Then maybe we'll start to criminalize activities that are REALLY harmful, like overbreeding or spraying pesticides.

[QUOTE who="Amy" the bible also says you're not allowed to shave.[/QUOTE]

That's an Old Testament Hebrew custom.

One could look at religion as a set of principles to live one's life by. Obviously such principles are going to shape the way we think and make decisions. Surely the 235 million Christian Americans are going to be influenced by their religious beliefs when they vote and make other important decisions.

Right,,, however that does not make us a theocracy does it?.... we are not subject to the laws of one holy book.....

Now assuming you are a U.S. CITIZEN (your thing says france).. Tell us why a couple together for 15 years and happen to be a ssc, should enjoy less rights and legal coverage than a couple married 15 minutes

Read "I can not refute what he is saying... so I will call him names"... that should prove my point.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
