1 Corinthians 6:9 (New International Version)

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

Hebrews 13:4 (New International Version)

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Do your homework. Civil unions aren't the same. A few key points of marriage do not apply with civil unions.

Your personal life should not be restricted by anyone. Goevernment should stay out of personal matters. Government should also reduce social programs and reduce the rate it taxes income groups.

I don't condone gay marriage, but I believe law should not dictate sexuality. Though it is morally wrong IMO, there are many other things that are morally wrong and are legal. The existence of a law against gay marriage will do little to affect how many gays there are or how they choose to live their lives. Why not save some money for the government by having one less law to enforce?

Live and let live. This isn't a slippery slope into polygamy or anything else. It's a civil rights issue. And it's not going to destroy the precious family values that so many seem to hold so dearly. Preach your family values to YOUR family, to preach it at others. And I don't care what the comic book bible jesus says about it either.

Thank you for your comic book jesus quotes, but your jesus isn't the law of the land and has no bearing on civil rights issues.

First of all, if you're trying to change a law, you could change the one that will equate civil unions with marriage, just gives them separate names. Second of all, one of the key points of the law of marriage...not from God, but from our government.... is that a marriage is between a man and a woman. The can of worms that opens is that when we change the definition, why stop at man and woman, or same sex? Why don't we open it up to the old Mormon way of 1 man and 8 wives? Why can't a brother and sister get married?

To each his own. We only have to account for our own transgressions, not others. Can't we all just be happy.

What law said marriage = man and woman, and everyone talks family values, 50% of all marriages end in divorce, which was once against god's law so why all the worry. And if you think gays marring will devalue your marriage, then you should probably not be married if you judge your union by others.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Gemini

This is a good time to take stock of your actions and the direction you're going in. Are your efforts getting you anywhere or leading you astray and scattering your energy? If you're putting in the work but not moving forward, you're not on track. The old adage 'cut your coat according to your cloth' is good advice. Be simple and purposeful and don't waste time with things that get no practical results.
