If it is left up to the government, these children will never learn to do any thing other than get into trouble. The old saying idle hands equals idle mind means a lot if you think about it. What are they to do? Sit around playing video games? Most farm families are much healthier and much more active than the average city dweller.

i agree a 100%.. i grew up on a farm and worked that farm everyday of my life.. i still do.. i feed cows before school and fixed fence in the afternoon. or whatever else needed doing.. i am glad i done all that everyday instead of finger fukn someone on a videogame.. it has made me the person i am today.. thanks daddy and pawpaw.

Every child should have chores,it teaches them resposibility.If i didnt have chores,i would not know how to make a bed,load a dishwasher,do laundry,cook or whatever.They also taught me how to save money.Should you make a slave out of your child?NO! But giving them everything for doing nothing does not give them a good work ethic.And if you pay them or give them a allowance,you should be able to say here you earned this!
