Prior generations have had their kids do chores around the farm and it taught them responsibility and values kids today don't have. Those kinds of values aren't found in video games or any other electronic medium. I've done farm work when I was younger and it didn't hurt me a bit. I did teach me the value of the dollars I worked for though. Let young ppl work on farms if you can find any willing to actually work!

I gather from your statement you'd rather them lay around eating Dorito's and playing Xbox. Real contribution they make doing that and will wind up living with you until they are 30,...or older. A little manual labor never hurt anyone unless of course you've never done any and weigh 300 lbs. Then yes, it's gonna hurt but then if they'd done some before they wouldn't weigh 300 lbs, huh.
