Farm Chores Debate - Livingston, MT

The government is too much in our faces.

Kids need responsibilities. The very fact that we increased the age of working to 16 is plain stupid. By this time kids don't want to work because they know mom or dad will take care of them.

a lot of kids would rather have others do the chores and their part would be ,simply to just accept the pay check as if they did it.

whose fault is that Parents who let them get away with it.

And reward them with electronic junk hoping that some how that new junk will parent them better than they have.

but only when the tv or computer is on..when theses things are left off and were breaking ice on the dirt tank for animals to drink the government doesnt seem to be around at all..at least un till the farms for sale..

Chores are the core to responsible adults. If we fail our children in any manner it is because we no longer teach them the core values of responsibility. It is always someone else fault ... down to the Governments fault. I would rather be put in jail than to not demand that my child kick in with his/her part in family responsibilities. Yes this is the way to end a farm. But there are ways to revisit this utterly ridicules law and that is through legislation regarding this decision instead of accepting this as final. As per television, computer games ...no way. Not allowed in my house. These are conditioning tools to limit our child's imagination, respect for family, friends, elderly and law official as well as limits their ability to explore this really cool universe (physical activity), receive real air and sunshine.
