i dont think there is anything wrong with teaching a child to work....farming is a perfect job for a little one for real...they work with animals, gardening, and whatever else. i dont think the gov't should regulate that.

A little hard work never killed anyone! My boys never did farm chores but have done their share of yard work & house work. I won't be around forever to cook and clean. Dad needs help keeping the yard looking nice for their friends to come and hang out. I think if there are not farm chores available it is never to early to start learning life skills like washing clothes and dishes, taking care of individual belongings, making beds, ect... Don't have to be perfect just attempted and done as per age of child.

We as parents need to hold our kids more accountable because of all the electronics available to them. I'll be the first to admit my teens can get lost in XBox, IPODs, and Smartphones, but chores have to be done to keep access. Mom always told me "I am not your maid but your mother!"
