this has nothing to do with kids helping with chores with their parents, it has to do with farms who use underage labor, and a lot of times, illegal alien hands who are underage, it was designed to go after underage illegal aliens and be able to get them out of the situation as well as remove them from the country, it has been gotten way out of context by people who don't understand the rules, that weren't even going to be "law" they were just unified rules based on already existing laws.

it will only affect those who have employee/employer relationships

Oh well so sorry i forgot you all dont listen to any news except the Rosie Odonalds and the Bill Maher you probly didnt hear.
We dont have illegals anymore to say the ''I'' that is the eye letter is raceist now,You are not allowed to call an illegal peron illegal.
Anyway they surley arent illegal now because they get Social Security,Wel fare ,food stamps free housing and now Obama is giving them all Ambesty and they are going to get more free health care then they are already receiving.
Let me ask you people something.Do you get all this free crap'if not i would be raising hell with Obama you folks should get all that stuff to.
I mean look at the Un-employment #s if he sent all these (people) packing then that would put working people back to work,You know working people 'and that would give more money to the US government instead of the Mexican Government'Along with all those other countrie's to many to write about. So then the American well fare recipcentes would get bigger and better raises.
Use your heads common sense will win every time.

All that are saying it's alright for children to operate a large piece of equipment or do other dangerous chores such as working with cattle say when the child is killed or seriously injured? Most likely you would be the first to be talking bad about the parent or employer for child endangerment. You are letting politics take away your own common sense. There are many reasons for parents and society to care for our youth and any deserving parent will do whatever that is necessary to protect their children.

The American people have lived and farmed for over 300 years without Obama telling them how,
He wants to tell us which Dr,we can go to.
He wants to tell us which resturant we can take our kids to,
He tells you you no longer can eat fatining food.
he wants to make you lose weight.
He wants to tell you which vehicle you can buy.
Now he wants to tell you that YOU cannot make your Kids work.
It's all about controll people plain and simple.
Wake up America look around sober up get out in the world and see for yourself what is happening in this Country.

1-What is the accident rate for people while working compared with 300 years ago.My guess very small.
2-You can go to any doctor you choose as long as you have the funds.Period
3-Where is there a restaurant that children can't go(legally)unless it is restricted by alcohol or other adult themes?
4-Most of Americans should cut down on fat including myself and maybe you.
5-That is totally bull.
6-Ther was nothing said about children working, only they can't work in dangerous condition or with certain equipment or for hire.
Who told you this line and are they credible or just a political loud mouth.

Well when Obama care kicks in the Government will be restricting your medical need's.You will only see a Dr, when they say you can see a Dr.
Read the bill.
The accident rate of people on a farn compared to 300 years ago has nothing to do with this discussion. If Obama is so concerned about Kid's why dont he put a stop to the drug runners who are crossing our borders by the thousands and bringing in drugs that's killing our children.
As for the Resturant not to long ago Michelle & Barrac was trying to shut down McDonalds because their food was to fattening.
#4 as for your statement about cutting down because of overweight'Thank you but my weight is perfect thats because i was raised on a farm.I was chopping weed's hoeing corn hitching up Mules from day light till dark on days that i didnt tend school at the age of 9 or 10 ,
We ate a lot of home grown vegetables we got a lot of excerise that is why my weight is where it should be.
If kids were put out to work instead of sitting on a computer or watching tv they would not need to diet and their health would also be much better and that would mean less Dr trips and less bill's.
It's your buisness if you want to be over weight
It's your business if you dont want your kids to work
It's your buisness if you eat fast food.
It's not Obamas buisness plain and simple.

You're a perfect example of why we need farm bills to regulate kids working, obviously you were working when you should have been attending school. Your posts make that point quite clearly.

I worked as a child but not doing anything dangerous, nor was I hired by others.Nothing to do at home meant play time. There is a difference from doing boring chores and working in dangerous situations.Very few will find it acceptable for children to be on the road driving. Why?You just may meet one and you don't trust the decisions of a 12 year old.

School was out during the summer months and on weekends same as today.
I bet you wouldnt know the front end from the back end of a farm animal.I bet you believe your milk comes from the grosery store.

evidently your parents were well enough off that you did not have to work. Never say one word about someone that had to, not that they wanted to, had no choice

This is sad real sad, they are call chores for a reason so kids can learn to be responsible. I didn't live on a farm growing up but at a certain age I had chores and what not and at 13 I was doing my own laundry.
