Because needs more time to fix what the Republican and President Dickey Chaney did, as he was the assistant A-Hole to the GW. Bush A-hole!

Karnak Resident, you are sure one misinformed Democrat. Could you please explain the 5 1/2 trillion spending spree the "Make Believe President" has pulled off in only 3 1/2 years of his first and last term? Open up your mind and let some cool breezes flow through. I feel sorry for you and your tightly closed mind.

Obama all the way! The greatest American President since JFK! The majority of American voters elected him against the treasury robbing republican war mongers by a landslide the first time. It's just a shame that he can't run for a third term.

Obama is only qualified to be a community organizer up in Chicago, where the rules are made up as you go to fit the situation. He is incompetent, ego overloaded, associated with too many America bashers, a spend-a-holic, out of touch with reality, gun control advocate, grow government at any cost, socialist/marxist, redistributor of wealth from those who work to those who feel entitled without working, and should be impeached for impersonating a president. Time for him to go quietly into the night, and let this country come back to it's roots.

If we went back to America's real roots, wouldn't they be Indian and then Spanish/Portugese? Maybe a Viking or two thrown in for good measure?

most Democrats are either on the government dole in one way or another, or a bunch of wealth hating union members who think if it wasn't for them, a company wouldn't exist. a company is created and becomes successful when they supply a product or service that people want or need. as demand increases, more product or service is needed as more people want it. workers are hired, not to give them a job, but to fill the need for more product or service. my parents were both UAW members and I recall as a child in the 1970's and 80's that (partly because of the Russian grain embargo and other policies of President Carter) the economy took a dump. and yet when demand for products in this country decreased, and products were not being sold, and companies were losing money from these lack of sales, the unions would not adjust- in fact- they wanted more. and we have seen the results of this to this day. way the government can help is to reduce taxes and regulation on business as business is the only way jobs and revenue are generated that put people to work, and the more people that work means more payrole taxes going to the government. the government does nothing to produce productive jobs. it only takes from producers.

Lets not forget Cairo was and is a racial, white robe wearing bigot town, it started in the 1920's and is still alive and thriving today, but one day, when each of these white bigot losers are laying on their backs taking their last breath, may God have sympathy for them, no Cairo resident will vote for Obama, at least they have the Moral of their own convictions, more then what can be said for the white wizard wardrobes you play to.

Chances are good that you are lying about your own parents. But if there is any truth in what you said, they must be really proud of you son, really fuckin' proud.
Industry in this country is too far gone to expect any type of quick fix beyond world war and that being such a profitable endeavor for fatass republicans, there can be no mistake of their intentions.
One other way to regain our industry and our pride is through the rebuilding of our own infrastructure, with strictly enforced stipulations. Funding for public works such as bridges, roads and new projects will naturally have to come from the government. This in itself would create many new jobs but to lower our standards below living wages is absurd.

The idea that keeping taxes reduced on corporations is going to create jobs is completely absurd. Only a true right-wing idiot would swallow that vomit.
America needs a win/win plan for all America, not just a plan to benefit the wealthy.

>>>....most Democrats are either on the government dole in one way or another...

You must be thinking of corporations. They are on the dole, by not paying their fair share of taxes:)

>>>...or a bunch of wealth hating union members...

Huh? Ya'll killed off our unions! We are down to 7% union membership in the U.S.(from a high of 40%) & most of those are government workers (including teachers).

>>>.... who think if it wasn't for them, a company wouldn't exist.

A company could not exist without the workers.

>>>....workers are hired, not to give them a job, but to fill the need for more product or service.

Yes, and before government regulation (brought about by union organizers, grassroots organizations, & the workers), those companies locked workers in buildings, forced them to work 14-16 hours daily (plus weekends), hired children, fired workers at will, made them work under unsafe conditions, polluted our environment, provided no compensation for death & injuries on the job, etc.

Corporations, in general, will screw over workers every chance they get.

>>>...my parents were both UAW members and I recall as a child in the 1970's and 80's that (partly because of the Russian grain embargo and other policies of President Carter) the economy took a dump.

It was in the 80's when the UAW lost to management in a huge way. Management took away what the union worked for 20-30 years to achieve. Reagan sent a strong message to corporations that unions were fair game. Work stoppages (strikes) averaged 240 a year from the 1940's until Reagan.(See Bureau of Labor Statistics) We are down to 14 a year today. Ironically, Reagan was pro-union, but he felt he had to appear tough to Moscow.

>>>...and yet when demand for products in this country decreased, and products were not being sold, and companies were losing money from these lack of sales, the unions would not adjust- in fact- they wanted more.

No, they were trying to keep what they had gained. According to the CIA's World Factbook, wages have stagnated in the U.S. since the late 70's, early 80's.

>>...and we have seen the results of this to this day.

We sure do! The masses must be paid high enough wages to purchase goods. That's capitalism. Einstein said capitalism should work... in theory, but it will fail due to greed. What we have now is the result of corporate greed. Their profits are in the billions, yet wages remain too low for the workers to shop & save.

Btw, as our unions were being dismantled in the 80's, CEO pay & compensation were increasing by 300% to 500%.

>>>....way the government can help is to reduce taxes and regulation on business...

Many of our largest corporations pay NO taxes.

>>>... as business is the only way jobs and revenue are generated that put people to work, and the more people that work means more payrole taxes going to the government.

Gee, that has worked=/ No, businesses need to end the greed & pay decent wages. Not $12 an hour to process beef, or work on assembly lines.

>>>... the government does nothing to produce productive jobs. it only takes from producers.

Not true. Look what Roosevelt did with the WPA during the Great Depression of the 1930's. Workers built highways, dams, our state & national parks... even great works of art to adorn our government buildings.

We need unions today, more than ever, but they need to be better regulated by the Feds. Same for corporations.
