18 was the legal age when I was 18. There wasn't as much crazy drinking then. No one I knew went out on their 18th birthday and got blitzed...but all my children did on their 21sts. You can die for your country at 18, If we are going to have legalized drinking at all then you should have the right at that age.

There is plenty of time for "kids" to drink once 21. if its 18 kids will start drinking even earlier. Like at 13 instead of 15..lol. Legally drunk teens is just a bad idea. especially all the gangbangers in ghetto heights.
