Drinking Age Debate - Fernandina Beach, FL

At 18 since you can consent to sex with someone, smoke, be tried as an adult, vote, have to register for the draft, and can die for the country you should be able to have a beer.

And let's not forget, get married.

People can buy adult novelties/videos and star in adult videos at 18 too and they can't buy alcohol?!!?

18 year olds are still irresponsible, as are most 21 year olds. i don't drink any more, but i know others do, but i still feel 18 is much too young.

here we go, lets take some porno, some pot, some sex, a motor vehicle, and then add so drunk driving to it... real smart. its bad enough that 21 year olds do it, lets not let a bunch of wild irresponsible teenagers do it too.

Hey I'm not advocating being irresponsible. If parents teach responsibility then their children will be responsible adults. I'm entitled to my opinion. It doesn't make me an ultra liberal not that there is anything wrong with that. According to your logic then I don't think 18 year olds are mature enough to go in the service and use weapons either. If they don't allow joining the military until 21 then I would be more than happy to say keep the drinking age 21.
