Drinking Age Debate - El Paso, TX

Even at 21 , 99% should not be drinking . Most of them should be home taking car of their illegitimate babies , all 4 of them .

This was tried in the military and in Kansas and found the number of assaults and accident went up with the younger drinkers and drivers.

The Military used to have a lower drinking age and the barracks all had a dispenser in then common area where the men could drop 75 cents into the vending machine and get some beer. IT wasn't Bud or Pabst or Miller. Most of the time is was the local generic beer. IT did not stop the stupidity and there were alot of times the MPs had to be called to the barracks to break up fights.

Kansas tried it back in the mid sixties and found the 18 year old kids had more dwi deaths and assaults and reverted back to the 21 year old lower limit.

I've always said that if you're old enough to serve and old enough to vote then you're old enough to drink. How can you ask a guy to shoot the Taliban during the day and not offer him a beer when he gets home to unwind?

Because when you are in a war zone like that you need your head clear. Vietnam was different. Afghanistan no beer, no pot, no heroin. Vietnam Beer,Whiskey,Pot, Heroin and about anything else you could buy, kill for or steal.

I know for a fact that most of my students already drink and most with their parents consent so why not lower the age.

It's already happening so why are we kidding ourselves.

So with your reasoning in this argument, you would also allow the use of marijuana and hard drugs by the students because they are all ready using drugs? I guess because students also cheat on their school work it would be okay to cheat without consequences? You are a poor standard for the students at your school and the community. I guess because your appear to be a poor teacher that we can fire you because you have a poor attitude about the safety of your students!

It should be 18 for MILITARY. If they can fight for our country why not be able to have a fee beers?

After thinking about it they should lower the drinking age to 12. And while they're at it drop all charges against the Principle at Fannin and the Dance Teacher at Irvin.

Heck me and Alot of other Teachers in the EPISD have our students over to our homes to drink, smoke, do a few lines and do the nasty.

I say start them young
And
Give Me some!
