We already repealed but I wanted to add my vote to the mix. Yes, because gays have been in the military and have been excellent soldiers since the beginning of time. Why should today be any different?

I think it would be suicide to admit you are gay in a room of Marines taking a shower, or let it be known to others that you are gay. It would be the same as a naked man in a womans shower. They wouldnt take it so well.

Also I would be careful on the battle field if I announced I was gay. i know several who were shot in the back during the vietnam war because of their "mean disposition" in life, just because they were "mean as hell".

You can live in a fantasy world of political correctness on the outside, but for those gays still in the armed forces you generate a lot of unnecessary conflict.
