Being gay or lesbian is the least problem many potential EP folks have if they desire to join the military.
If one believes everything written on topix, the young people of EP are "drugged out" or have extensive criminal records which would disqulify them from actually ever serving in the military.

Most of the posters here have never been in the military, much less been in combat. They think it's like being in the Boy Scout's. It's 24/7, 365 days a year. The bullets are real and anything bigger than a firecracker will kill you. A Combat unit is a cohesive homogeneous unit, there is no room for individualism. You cannot be anything that does not fit into the unit, being gay, being a Black militant, being anything that would upset the mission of the unit is not tolerated. Misfits are dealt with in a variety of ways, no reason to tell you how because you don't have a need to know, But they don't last long.
