Because someone works hard and earns more money, why should they be penalized for it?

The only part of the agreement to raise the debt ceiling should be reining in spending. Congress has demonstrated nothing in the past that would suggest they are good stewards of our money. Why on Earth would we allow them more credit limit. I wouldn't even want a poor person's tax to increase until Congress changes their view of who's money they are controlling.
