I see nothing wrong with gays or lesbians marrying. A wedding should be between two people who love each other and want to live the rest of their lives together. A person is a person it shouldnt matter. Just the same that it doesnt matter if a french man marries an italian lady. They would be two people who love each other.

Marriage has been between a man and a woman for ten thousand years and just because a group of disfunctional people band together and resort to name calling and in your face with their sexual antics changes nothing. Civil unions O.K. marriage for homosexuals NO !.

Civil unions O.K. marriage for homosexuals NO !. Bzzzt. Formal marriage has existed for only a five or six thousand years, was established for property rights, was only legally available to the property owners, and was hardly limited to one man and one woman. What you are referring to is the church's version of marriage which has existed for a far shorter time and regardless of revisionist history is not about children. The church declared it a sacrament, but the fact is that the Egyptians, etc... were doing it long before it to divvy up lands from generation to generation and family to family long before. Marriage in the eyes of the state is just a property contract between two people who choose to live as one family unit. You can have your church version. But as long as the priest says "By the power invested in me by the commonwealth of Massachusetts..." remember that even the church acknowledges that it is legal definition as well as the whole sacramental issue. To put it succinctly, civil marriage is none of the church's god damn business and they should stay the hell out of it.

By the by, someone who thinks he served in Vietnam, and typically posts under Ozzie, Irate Taxpayer, and the King of Zylontie is, for some obsessed reason, posting under my name.
