Civil Unions Debate - Jonesboro, AR

Marriage is a civil union. You can make it a religious thing if you want to but it is legal only by applying for a license through the County Clerks Office and adhering to state and local law.

If the defining issue is religion, and civil unions would allow all the legal benefits; then that should be enough.

Im gay and i was married. Had to go all the way to Iowa to do it. All the paperwork was filled here in Jonesboro at the city courthouss. So i dont see why gay people be happy and get Married.

Why we have to decide how people live their personal lives is beyond me...

Some people are so close minded. I don't know what the big deal is. Shouldn't you people be worried about things like starving people or violent criminals instead of two people loving each other and you not approving of it? If religion is your problem - didn't Jesus say to love everyone?

I love everyone but I don't always approve of their lifestyles. God said no. I am a Christian and from my belief in God's word I cannot condone this type of immorality.

This poll is misleading. When you vote "No Gay Marriage" it votes in favor of gay marriage. That's a dirty trick.

i agree but we ignoring him on so many issues, high divorce rate, audaltry, drug use, too much drinking, lieing about other people, overeating and the list can go on and on so why is this such a big issue
