Well if that isn't something! Of course, FDR got the program through when he was President. However, it was the Democrats who voted to place it in the General Fund in 1969 under LBJ and it has been used by both Democrats and Republicans on wasteful spending ever since. Futhermore, the Democrats or Republicans didn't give me a damn thing. I recall having Social Security and Medicare being deducted from every paycheck, and quiet a large sum, I may add, since I was considered by a lot of freeloaders to be rich because I earned a substantial income. When you talk about Social Programs, just remember the poor and needy is not the problem, it's those who scam the system that's the problem and they want more and more. Where do you think that money is coming from anyway? Obama, Pelosi, or Barney Frank? Get Real! If you want Medical, Food, and Clothes to wear, get off your behind and earn it.

Republicans are money hungry little money grubbers.Steal from the poor and give to the rich is all a republican is.

Democrats are not for the working people anymore, they're just like politicians!!

I have been an independent for years but more and more I am leaning towards Democrats The Republicans will not give the same taxes to the wealthy as they do to the working class. Yes, I work every day and take care of myself and I hear all the stories but I heard over and over while listening to the speaches, the Republicans said "we will not make taxes equal for the wealthy". That is just plain crazy. The Social Security system was self sufficient until the Republicans started "borrowing" from it. Follow news (other than Fox who pays little to no taxes" and find the truth. We need to kick them all out and start with common people.

Really its all are faults because of who we voted in office.Now we must stand and make a change before its to late.Vote next time for someone with a good head on their shoulders to lead our country.

And just who would that be??? Everyone from the president on down needs to be removed and new people put in office. By the time their term is up they will be half crooked and then we voted in some new ones. Get this country back to basic and a belief in "GOD" and what it stood for when it was built
