Taking of a human life should not be an option. Unless rape occurs, the choice has already been made.

Abortion shouldn't happen. It should be prevented by comprehensive sex education in schools (and by parents), by making birth control readily available, and by making quality, informative, free health care available to anyone having sex, including teens.

That being said, however, abortion should not be illegal. The government of the United States should not dictate to a woman what she can and cannot do with her own body.

What a woman does with her body is her business, what she does with another living human is something else.

The fact is that women have been terminating unwanted pregnancies since the beginning of time. Before abortion was legal women threw themselves down stairs, poisoned themselves with herbs, and had back alley abortions from unqualified, untrained people. Outlawing abortion won't stop it from happening, it'll just make it less safe. Keep it legal, but implement programs to keep it a rare occurrence.

I agree with NotATheocracy in Walnut Cove, NC. Outlawing the procedure won't stop the act, but implementing programs to deter a woman from making the choice for abortion would be appropriate. The woman has to decide if she can afford to have the child, if she can live with herself to give it up for adoption or if she feels the best for everyone is to abort the fetus. All scenarios can be difficult; however, if abortion is chosen, I think a law should be in place that it must be done before the end of the first trimester. Partial birth abortions are horrendous!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
