Abortion Debate - Sallisaw, OK

My big limit would be late term abortions unless the mother's life was in danger.

Otherwise, I think it should be legal. I don't exactly like the idea. I prefer adoption. But its not my body. I am not going to force someone to have a baby they don't want.

Most people that do want them to have a baby, don't really care what happens after the baby is born. They are against help and assistance to low income families.

I think if someone is raped,there is incest involved, or the mothers life is in danger,then an abortion would be an alternative. I do not think it should be used as a form of birth control. but thats just my opinion.

That is the problem with most abortions...it is nothing more than another form of birth control. Anyone can go to a health clinic and get FREE birth control. Women who are too lazy to prevent pregnancies and have multiple abortions should have their tubes tied and be done with it !!!!

I agree with this. Abortion is loathsome to me. But there are people with different circumstances.

But for someone that does this more then once, that hasn't learned from past mistakes, I don't really have a lot of sympathy.

I believe this bill Personhood bill that Oklahoma is trying to get passed is not right. It is taking womens rights away from the to decide what they want. Mostly I disagree that it will be against the law for a female to get an abortion if they have been raped, gotten pregnant by incest and the Mother's life is in danger. Then Rep. Mike Reynolds had the guts to say in a interview that if a women has a misscarriage they will not be prosecuted. What is he thinking he is giving women a gift? In case of rape he said that a fetus should not be punished for the sins of a man that rapes a women or a very young girl. But he had no compassion for the raped female. But my biggest fear if this bill passes whose rights and what other rights will be taken away from us? I don't believe in any female using abortion as a birth control method. But I donot feel that females of incest, rape and life being endanger should be punished because of female that abuse the system of getting abortion.

This may not be understood by some. But, however,
I am against abortion. But I am the only one to answer for what I do. Everyone else will one day answer for their decisions. If an abortion is what they want, I do think there should be a limit on how many. And I DO NOT WANT ONE CENT OF MY TAX DOLLARS PAYING FOR ONE. If they want an abortion, they can pay for it themselves. And in case one one has checked lately, birth control is cheaper than abortions.

guess...and sometimes children are the unfortunate victims of rape or incest, who never thought about taking birth control...what would you suggest then? would you think a 12 or 13 yr old should have been on birth control because a perverted relative raped them???

Abortion is and always will be taking a life. Incest, rape...doesn't matter. If its true that God loves all of His children then there is a reason those babies were created. There are adoptive parents waiting for every "unwanted" unborn child. And as a birth control method abortion is a poor choice. Too many options available. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it whether you agree with it or not. I won't belittle an opposing opinion but mine will never change.

I understand your view but saying there is a reason thoses babies were created .. sound very cold especially when it cmoes to incest or rape. You might as well say make lemonande out of lemons.

it seems cold to me to kill a baby because of the way it was conceived. The baby is not at fault and there are a lot of adoptive parents waiting. It has nothing to do with lemons and lemonade. It has everything to do with the life that is created at the moment of fertilization.
