Abortion should be legal when a woman is pregnant and doesn't want to have the baby.

I suppose that applies to contraception too. Life begins at conception and anything that prevents the implantation of a fertilized egg is MURDER!

Woman should be screening their menstruation too, because if you flush one of those fertilized eggs, then that is abuse of a corpse!

I was aborted as a young man. My nangran raised me until I joined the army. Not all of us turn out bad. Now am happy with a wife an son of my own. And I would never abort him.

I have to agree with you on about 80% of what you are saying. There are several options for birth control. However the other 20% is the reason that the government needs to stay out of it.

How often do you think a rapist or an sexually abusive relative uses a condom on his victim? Should a 14 year old be required to carry her rapist's child until she can give it up for adoption?

What about if the mother's life is in danger? Remember that teen a few months ago that refused an chemo treatments and died of cancer after giving birth? It was a touching and loving story. But what if she made the other choice. That would have be be a hard choice to make. But she should have the right to make it. Do you want the government making that for you?

So even if you agree that abortion should be legal in cases of rape or to save the mother's life, there are going to be those that try to restrict it. For example in cases of rape, the US Congress has tried to redefine rape as to take away any reference to date rape or rape by intimidation. A victim must have to be physically assaulted in order to constitute rape. If a girl is slipped some "roofies" in a drink and passed out, she wasn't raped.
In the case of the mother's safety, how long will it be before a die hard right to life attorney general starts hauling doctors into court and charging them if they disagree with the diagnosis? I can see it now. Attorney General: "The mother had a 60% chance of surviving if she carried the baby to term? I'll take those odds."
Do we want the government any where near medical decisions?
What if the child will not survive long outside the womb? What if there are birth defects so horrendous, that this child would be in agony for the few short hours that it survives after birth. We don't subject animals to this cruelty.

Again, I am in total agreement that that abortion should never be use as birth control, but I also don't think the government should be making these decisions. As soon as there is some regulation, people are going to suffer.

Human life is meaningless. The only reason we think it's special is because we are humans.

That logic won't work here for three reasons.
1. Men will not go to Hell for abortions since it isn't their body/choice.
2. Men definitely won't go to prison if people like these jackwagons get their way and abortion becomes illegal.
3. It is the woman's fault because of that whole apple thing (Gen 3:16)

On a totally different note, don't you find it funny those that are saying that even if a woman is raped, she should have the child are almost always men.(full disclosure, I'm a man)
