In an ideal world this question shouldn't even be arising. But since we aren't living in one there has to be some rules. Abortion should be legal in all cases since there is no point if the mother can't bring up that child or if the child is going to be subjected to social stigma. I know many people might appose this saying there are organisations or groups or services which will take care of those kids. But I don't see that happening to all of such kids, If its not legal then people will find ways to get it done by any means which can even threaten the life of the child bearing mother. So its better to make them legal but to discourage people from overtly just aborting esp with the teenage pregnancies on the rise, they should put some kind of heavy fine or subject them to social service time! I for one am NOT for teenage pregnancy!!!

Yes, it is always better to kill a child rather than he or she be poor or face a social stigma.

PEOPLE JUST NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

If you don't want children there are a lot of ways to protect your self from the pregnancy (Both men and women) When I was grown up, it was not the cool thing to get pregnant if you were not married. Not a days young girls are sleeping around at very early ages and the birth rate reflects that. I am not letting the young men off, If the support unit had more staff to be able to go after all the
"Dead Beat DAd's" Maybe they would thing twice about sleeping around knowing how much it cost to raise a child.
If people took care of not getting pregnant, we would not have to worry about abortion.
(I do know there will be exceptions to every rule)

Abortion IS legal. DO NOT listen to lunatics who still think that they can roll back 40 years of settled law by either praying about it, or by murdering abortion doctors.

There is no SHOULD about it. These teabagger republican polls are complete and total nonsense... and all they do is monger hate and spread fear.

And it's a lost cause, teabagger republicans. Really. And if you go ahead and run Newtie? I heard a REPUBLICAN say he was only going to carry FIVE STATES. But hey... by all means go for it!

Get a life... there you go! Worry about YOUR lack of a life, before you worry about anyone else's.

The central question to ask and answer is: Just what exactly is in the mother's womb? Is it part of her body, or does it have unique DNA? Is it just a growing clump of cells, or is it a human being? All other discussions are moot. Solve this, and you will have your answer. People who try to say that abortion should be legal but rare are just being lukewarm. If abortion isn't murder, then why does it need to be rare? On the other hand, if there is a life at stake, then why should it be legal?

You shouldn't have to explain why it isn't OK to kill a breathing human being. Wow..

It's a personal choice and no one had the right to make that decision for some one else.

I agree, so a woman shouldn't be making that choice for her child!

No No. The Woman shouldn't be making that choice for HERSELF. That's why the rest of us are here. We'll make the choice for her, then force her to deal with it, without help (We aren't socialists of course).

Aren't we just wonderful! So just and kind and christian! And so very thoughtful of course.

But don't ask for help when you can't afford your child!

If you get down to it Life begins at conception!!!
Where the cells meet and divide, and gradually develop into a human being. The definition of "fetus" is "a developing human being!" and an embryo is still a developing person, just at an earlier stage. So if you don't want children, just keep your clothes on and don't participate in activities that can lead to pregnancy. It's surprisingly easy.
