Abortion Debate - Johnson City, TN

I am not throwing stones at anyone for having an abortion, that is their guilt to live with, not mine. I am a christian but I really don't have an answer as to aborted babies going to heaven as that is God's decision not mine. The only thing in the Bible that I have read that might and I do mean might refer to it is a passage that says that those who sin without knowledge will be beaten with few blows and those that sin with knowledge will be beaten with many blows. To tell you the truth my mother had an abortion so I never got to know that special brother or sister that I was denied. My mother did not want to be burdened with a fourth child. I feel that abortion is wrong and has gotten way out of hand. I guess it is easier to kill or blame society than it is to take responsibilty for your actions

Actually, the bible says that the unborn does not equal an individual. It says that if a man beats a pregnant woman, and only the baby dies, he is to pay a fine. But if the woman dies, he is to be put to death.

I did take responsibilty. Yor hard earned dollars didn't go to my abortion. Never balmed society. and the definition of killing excludes me from that catagory.

My reply to judged and southern alien were not posted for some reason so once again. Southern alien the Old Testament in the Bible (the one you are quoting) also applies just a fine for killing a neighbors manservant so I guess by your reasoning a servant is not actually a living person. TO Judged I am talking about a human life not dollars. It is not about money, although since that was your first response; rather than remorse for a life lost; I guess I can see you do put a certain dollar value on a life.

By bible standards, slavery was ok. People were property so they were less than a normal person.

Making abortions illegal won't stop abortions. It will only stop SAFE abortions.

there are too many people now. If the child is not wanted, it will not be loved and possibly abused.

Ya know, perhaps convicted felons and convicted child abusers or people who have had their children taken away from them for whatever reason should be sugerically prevented for bringing another child in to a dangerous and unloving situation?

Or perhaps no one has a problem paying govrt housing, welfare or, for goodness sake disability for people having 4, 5 or more kids.

Do you honestly think that is good for 98% of the kids or for ociety in general?

Having a child should be a privelege, not a right. They are not less than human. Except if you are a catholic bishop i guess. Think about it.
