I dont think it should ever be legal. I think that if it is in a rape case or other unfortunate case, I think the mother should go with adoption instead of killing an innocent baby. It's wrong in any case.

I think it should be a womans choice. Its her body & she should be the one to decide whether abortion is right for her or not.

If the mother is raped it it understandable. But other then that it is cruel and heartless to take such a precious life that was sent from God. Plain and simple if you don't want a baby use protection or just don't lay down and spread your legs.

The bottom line is this. It's none of your business what she does. She will answer for her choices not you. The same as everyone of us will answer for things we have done. If you disagree with abortion then don't have one but don't tell me I can't. It's none of your business. It is a medical procedure. Better not to be born than to be beat to death, sexually assaulted, starved and neglected.

Search; Republicans for Choice.Org

Search; Republican Majority for Choice.Org

Republican Party members have been supporting a woman's right to an abortion for years. At the SAME time the GOP has been using this issue to get votes for years.

If my wife and I had five little kids and she was pregnant with the sixth and more than one doctor said she had a 60% chance of dying if she continued the pregnancy full term, I would want an abortion for her.
If I had a 13 year old daughter who was gang raped and now pregnant, I would want an abortion for her.

Rather than being born to a crack head prostitute mother that did NOT want me, I would prefer to be aborted.

Even without having 5 little ones if a woman cannot raise a child for whatever reason then she should not be forced to have a baby. No one should be forced to have a child and give it up for adoption either. The youngest child to have a baby in my community that I know of is twelve years old. They can't be tried in adult court because they aren't mature enough. So we should make this 12 year old have a baby because "someone" doesn't agree with abortion? In my opinion, if you can prevent pregnancy then abortion becomes a moot issue doesn't it? Unless you are with a child 24/7 you have no idea if they are having sex. Have they been taken advantage of by an older child? Are they trying to fill a void in their life with sex? Birth control should not be a tabboo subject. Would you rather become a grandmother or great grandmother when a baby is born to a chile who isn't ready to raise it and no one is willing to help support it? Everyone wants entitlement programs cut to "balance the budget". That is everything from social security to SSI, SSDI, medicare, medicaid, head start, your local health clinic, food stamps. Who is going to give that baby what it needs when no one in the family can support it? And I'm sorry, but in our society there isn't a lot of support for a woman or child who gives away their baby for adoption. And it's cruel to make a child go through a pregnancy and birth and then have to give up the child. Even if they aren't ready to be an adult that is just another trauma for them to endure. And again, the bottom line is to prevent that pregnancy, not to have to end it.

If someone is mature enough to have sex, then that person is mature enough to take care of the baby... it's not the unborn baby's fault that it's mom decided to have sex... so why kill the innocent baby?

Well in that case shouldn't muder be legal? I mean if a woman can have the choice to have her child killed or not.. then shouldn't a murderer be able to choose if he wants to kill someone or not? It's the same thing!

Oh that's a brilliant answer. Don't have sex if you can't have the baby. You have to be a man. First of all, it's a cell, not a baby. A zygote. And if you can PREVENT pregnancy then abortion is a moot issue. And when the day comes that both parents actually pay their child support then the world will be a better place. Right now children are raised in poverty because of non support. You don't want a woman to spread her legs but I bet you would scream like hell if you were to have to pay child support for a child. And most men anymore will scream that they don't know if they are the father. The bottom line again is, you worry about your body and let me worry about mine. And if I can't go through with the pregnancy that is none of your business.

God is always in control, pregnancy or not. When you change what he has allowed you are interfering with His plan. Rape or otherwise.

And it still isn't your choice. You choose if you want an abortion and leave everyone else alone. It isn't your body. And if God is in control I guess the abortion will fail won't it? It is none of your business what choice I make.

What about the baby's choice? Have you ever asked her if she would like a chance at life? Just because you made several bad choices doesn't give you the right to deny her an opportunity to grow up and be happy. People have become so ignorant in their selfishness.

Christian is so right! There are so many people that can't even have kids, and then there are the people who aren't careful when they have sex and abort their baby, a baby that someone would love to have! It's selfishness!

& southern lady.. your right....it isn't our body...and it isn't the pregnant lady's body either.. it's the baby's body..it's the baby that is being killed... not the mother.

Do you support the use of birth control pills? Do you support the use of an IUD?
Many of the people who scream the loudest about abortion do NOT believe that birth control pills OR Inter-Uterine Devices should be legal in the United States. AND, if they have their way, based on their religious beliefs, the sale and use of birth control pills and IUD's will be illegal. AND, we will have millions of babies born that nobody wants to pay for, or support.

Kids have sex at eleven and twelve years old and many even before that. Do you consider them mature, just because they had sex?

no I don't, but they think they are mature enough to have sex, so they are mature enough to raise a baby!
