EVERYONE is pro-life,(with the exception of serial killers and similar assorted monsters). We are ALL pro-life, but it is the anti-choice brigade who have their priorites screwed up.

If those hypocrites REALLY cared about the lives of children, they would do something proactively and productively to provide essial needs for the innumarable homeless, hungry, parentless and abused children that are already living here. Many of those kids live in Granite City literally a block or two away from where these morons spend their time traumatizing kids watching parades and harassing the public by holding up signs with graphic images.

These same mental midgets descend like vultures, encircling and attacking women who are seeking reproductive health services. Yes, they are seeing a doctor at Hope Clinic but not every patient there is seeking an abortion. Many women see the medical staff there for well-women check-ups, birth-control and counseling....to AVOID unplanned pregnacies! Why should these women be subjected to the ignorant hate mobs?

I, myself, have on two separate occasions been accosted and attacked by these seriously misguided, uninformed zealots and from personal experience, it is a disturbing experience to say the least. And I was not in the position of being a frightened, vulnerable girl undergoing a difficult medical decision. I was walking from a parking spot a block from the hospital going to the emergency room, where my own family's medical crisis was occurring.

The first time it happened I just assumed an assertive posture and continued walking without budging or pausing but I didn't respond, although I was already crying. I reported the incident to a GCPD who was in the ER. The second time I went into a blinding rage, screaming back at them, pushing back at them, then punching and kicking them away from me. I have a stun gun but somehow I didn't think to have it in my hand. I wish I would have. I've even been tempted to go back and see if they would do it again, only have my stun gun in my hand. I only had my cell phone and the pics I had been able to grab of the attack.

The second time, I called 911 on my cell and they apparently did too. When the police arrived, I was in the ER, as I had told the dispatcher I would be. I told the officers what happened and showed them the pictures and I referred to the prior incident and date. I pressed charges, they tried but the officers said they had nothing to charge me with. They got fined, I went back to my life somewhere else, thank heavens.

Those individuals are predators and they serve no actual good. As far as I could determine, they are a money-laundering outfit of somesuch.

As I said, much more good could be done with all that effort and energy if it were directed into feeding, sheltering, educating or protecting some of our society's neediest victims, those that have no voice.

she came home and I escorted her the second time in uniform with a gun on perfectly legal you Nazi goons didn't try to harass her that time
I see how your type take the lifes of doctors and nurses so how is that christian
the bad part is I agree for the most part of what you say but you all have turned me and my family totally against your types primitive, narrow minded hypocrites

Amen Steelman ...I agree 100% with you. The people outside Hope Clinic are crazy yes I have read up on them and they do save some babies which is great. But their way of going about it is wrong. They even BASH Mosaic pregnancy center which do the very same thing they do but without all the harrassment and graphic signs. Now if they care sooo much about saving babies why would they bad mouth another organization that does the exact same thing ??

i don't think abortion is right but if i was facing a severly disabled child, or one concieved by rape or incest i can understand how i might consider abortion. adoption isn't always the answer. the state seems to try exceptionally hard to retain any child they get their hooks into, making it difficult for even the family to get them released. to adopt you really have to jump through hoops. there are many families who would take needy kids but there's no way once the state in involved, that's why so many look to other countries. i have a neice in foster care right now and the state doesn't deem ANY member of her family worthy to have her. some too old, others too young, house too small, not enough income, works to much, parents don't like them. they see nothing wrong with foster care or the life the child has there even though they're not really loved or sometimes not treated too good.they seem to think no child would prefer a poor grandparent over a paid foster parent and god forbid they might have to help the grand parent. there's much wrong here and our kids are the victims.

Oh yea. Definitely not for birth control. There s/b a way to control the people using it for birth control. Maybe a national database or something. Just saying....

A faithful man was getting ready to rest for the night after a long day of social work. He said a prayer of thanks for his own blessings and then asked God, "where are the people with the intellect to help cure cancer, starve hunger, change the world, and end war?" After asking the question he sat still in silence and then laid down his head to sleep. A voice spoke out to him while he dreamed and replied, God is speaking, I have a plan, I have been creating them, but people choose to keep aborting them for one reason or another.

Why should a victim of rape have to carry and give birth to that baby? Pregnancy from rape is a miracle from god? What god do you worship? Life begins, and ends, thats it. Not all of us believe in god so pushing the religion aspect of it is pointless. What does it matter to you what some stranger does with her body? And for you that say to give it up for adoption and help someone else, i'm all for that, IF the woman wants to carry the child. Couples that cant have babies can always look for egg donors as well.

It is premeditated murder of your own baby. I have done a lot of bad things in my life but nothing no where near the evil of being a child murderer. If a mother wants to murder their child I say make them wait a year. This way they can say the baby was ugly, it cried to much, it was too much trouble ect. At least they would have some kind of flimsy excuse.

If a person does not agree with the idea of abortion and they believe that it is wrong and a sin or any number of negative beliefs, then by all means, they should NOT have one! Be anti-choice for yourself and let the rest of it work it our with our belief system and conscience.

I believe that it is a persons choice, however I feel that their should be someone or something that regulates people with valid reasons versus stupid mistakes. I think its a woman's body and her right to choose, but I also do not think it should be used as birth control.

Are you a female? Because honestly I don't think that anyone but a female who has had a child or been pregnant would have any understanding of the decisions some women have to make in certain situations. I don't mean rape although that is extremely traumatic, I mean if the child has some debilitating illness that will cause their life to be short and filled with pain. Some of these illnesses don't even allow a child to reach their first birthday. I personally couldn't imagine the type of pain and loss those parents who are dealing with these types of situations must feel but I can think that if I were in their shoes I would want the option to end the pregnancy versus having to watch my child suffer just to pass on so quickly. Maybe something to consider?

Yes but you would have to chose wisely and I dont think that is something that alot of women would be able to handle! 13 yrs ago I was told that the child that I was carrying could possibly have DS and I was asked if I would consider abortion and OF COURSE I would not, and its a good thing that I didnt because 6 months later I gave birth to a happy healthy baby boy who is now a teenager who is excelling in sports. So to think that I would have made that choice to no longer carry my baby hmmm... doctors are just doctors not gods! They do not know 100% of the outcome of anything

I'm a big believer that we are here for a reason. Abortion is killing an innocent child. If you cannot take care of that child either close your legs or adoption. Your parents didn't abort you! If you think it should be legal than maybe they should have.
