When a woman is raped , that should be an open discussion for her, and also if womans life is in danger and they have no other choices.

a woman shouldn't have the government telling her what to do in a private, personal matter. that decision should be made by her (and the man involved). if she wants an abortion and he doesn't then she should be able to terminate her rights.. same for him if he doesn't want a kid and she does...

Abortion Safer For Women Than Childbirth, Study Claims

A legal abortion may be safer than giving birth to a baby, contends a report published Monday in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology. According to the study, women were 14 times more likely to die during or after giving birth than to die from complications of an abortion. The study found that between 1998 and 2005, one woman died during childbirth for every 11,000 or so babies born. In comparison, just one woman of every 167,000 died from receiving a legal abortion.

Yeah, look at the statistics for Marijuana against tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. It's sickening that our government is so corrupt.

It should be legal til a certain point in the pregnancy. Look up how they preform abortions after 20 weeks. It's murder then! The doctor puts the mother in labor and as soon as it's head is out the doctor cuts through the baby's spine and uses a vacuum to suck it's brains out! It's legally an abortion not murder because the baby is still mostly in the womb!

Well if you don't want an abortion don't get one but you shouldn't judge people that get them because you don't know the circumstances.

As long as they get it before the cut off limit I believe it is the mothers choice but after that its simpily murder! They induce labor and murder the baby! It doesn't take that long to figure out your pregnant! And you don't know ME so don't assume what I have been through!

It is a woman choice. If you look up how many women have died going to back alley abortion places, it's terrible. It should remain legal. Fn period!!! If a woman doesn't want to have a child and was on birth control and a pregnancy happened anyways, she should be able to terminate it. So many diff religious beliefs are stupid and have nothing to do with the overall situation. It's not murder because an embryo is not a person. Abortion clinics won't do it after a certain amount of weeks. People that have a prob with it should mind their own business.

I do, however, agree to the time limit that was mentioned. Maybe not the exact time frame, but an early window nonetheless.

yes, agreed also. Once it reaches a certain point that's pushing it a little because the fetus has features such as arms and legs. Think a clinic will do up to 16-20 weeks? It should really be taken care of by or before month 3. Plenty of time to realize you are preggo talk/ think about it then do what you have to do.

The fetus has not developed a central nervous system and feels no pain up to a certain point, sometime in the first trimester. Personally, I think a "cut-off" window of opportunity should be the norm for abortions. Most pro-choice people I know share this attitude. We are not the barbarians the radical pro-lifers think we are. They are apparently the ones that get off on watching late term abortions. Creepy.

Yes, nor would I. What is the point of that? Disturbing and more hypocritical than the abortion it's self. Some people have no clue of what they are even saying. Have not been in certain situations do not have to live the life of said person with that kind of choice on their hands. Just spew mind numbing banter based on nothing at all. If only someone could turn the tables and decide to make a life altering choice for them to see how they would like it. I would imagine they would not like it at all.
