I am mostly just for rape/incest/saving a life and am a strong advocate for birth control. Prevent unwanted pregnancy and you won't need an abortion. But sometimes birth control fails. It is a hard enough decision for a woman to make. And her business only. It does not need to be a political issue. It is a woman's health issue. Rich, middle aged men to stay out of women's uteri.

I totally agree Kathie. I love how rich old men feel almost justified telling a woman what to do with their bodies.

A girl should not have the right to spread her legs to anything and be able to go take care of it by aborting it. That is just wrong.

And that's what most people who are pro-life think Charles. I doubt anyone (pro-life or pro-choice) look at abortion as birth control.
I'm pro-choice and I totally agree with you. It shouldn't be used as a form of birth control, but these people who use it as such are really just uninformed and uneducated.
To think of all the forms of birth control and they choose that? That's just horrendous to think.

I had an abortion when I was barely 18. Finding out I was pregnant by this idiot I had been dating was DEVASTATING! I've never felt so hopeless/lost in my life! I was just starting my life..I was a college student, living at home, with a family who would be so ashamed of me. For me, there was no option. Nobody will ever know what I felt or what I went through. I've never regretted it for a minute. I'm 25 now, and if I got pregnant today I'd keep it. I got a big second chance before, no more second chances. Abortion is not birth control, but should always be a woman's choice. In my despair, nobody had a right to tell me that I had no right to make the right choice for ME. I also was a hostess making minimum wage so I had to tell a lie to borrow extra money to pay for my abortion pill. In 2004 it was over $400 just for the pill, I was early enough to just have to take the pill. I got no assistance for the pill & was making minimum wage (I know that's a concern for some)

Welcome back to 1950. Let's not be ridiculous. How about people use protection. Abstinence doesn't work. They've been preaching that since the 1970s and it didn't work then, it's not going to work now

It's a good thing I wasn't trying to make any body feel sorry for me! I don't feel sorry for myself! & if I could go back and relive that choice again..I'd make the same one. It was probably the biggest & most life changing decision I've had to make. I went into details on my feelings to maybe open someones eyes to the reality & see that not every woman who chooses abortion does so as a form of birth control but feels there's no other choice for her. Another point is this: thousands of children are born every day addicted to drugs, to abusers, to peo

I just want to be sure that everyone following the abortion threat is aware the WV practices compulsory immunization for school entrance. What that means is that 48 states offer religious exemptions as there are many religious arguments against vaccination, and especially the fact that many vaccines contain ABORTED FETAL TISSUE. Other states offer a religious exemption with NO increased health risk. Why can't WV???? Is anyone anti abortion in WV who has children? If so, the state says that you have to take their aborted fetal tissue in a shot or your kid cannot go to school! How are other dealing with this?

Aborted fetal tissues in vaccines. So, for all those politicians who are pro-life AND support mandated vaccines in WV, they in fact are saying abortion is okay in the form of forcing the states' children to be vaccinated. And for those folks who refuse the vaccines, they are guilty of a misdemeanor in WV, according to WV Code 16-3-4. Watch out Homeschoolers of the State of WV, who have chosen to homeschool in order to avoid vaccines containing aborted fetal cells, in addition to toxic chemicals, the State just set up a site to track all vaccinations. Vaccines are mandatory in WV, whether you homeschool or not.

Wow- that's news to me. So, if a parent refuses they can be charged?

The only time the fetus should get the death penalty is when the fetus has committed a crime worthy of such harsh punishment. Since we know the fetus is not capable of this, our human sense of justice should not permit the death penalty for the fetus.

My opinion is that morally you can feel something is wrong and that is your choice. So you are making a choice that it's morally wrong so your not going to get the abortion. However , I feel that the government shouldn't be aloud to tell a female what you can do with your body. America was founded on freedoms. We are losing these freedoms everyday. Abortion should be a choice of the mother the one who has to carry the baby for 9 months not an elected officials or are by majority males and have no Idea what having a baby and pregnancy can do to females, and also a child grow up where there parents really don't want them .

The death penalty is only lawful when the perpetrator of a crimes has been found guilty. Since a fetus cannot defend itself it should not be given the death penalty. We even give axe murderers lawyers to defend themselves with. Do we not owe a baby a vigilant defense? The parents are usually the perpetrators if a crime was committed. Yet they are allowed to live?
