"The contrasts in the latest protest wave were stark: people chanting "Death to America" outside the former U.S. Embassy while hundreds of opposition marchers in central Haft-e-Tir Square denounced President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with cries of "Death to the Dictator." Two-thirds of Iranians are under age 30 and the literacy rate is very high. Young educated people will not settle for life in the Dark Ages. The tide may be turning away from the blind hatred for the US to hatred for the oppression of the 7th century cleric autocrats. Hatred breeds hatred.

Blind hatred? No, its not blind, maybe they are the ones who know what they are talking about. The US has been up to some big mischief in the past few decades. Maybe you haven't heard, but our good ole CIA has done some damage. A huge empire which oppresses people is bound to get enemies like crazy fundamentalists or people who are outraged at some of the things America has done. ( Maybe it would help if we didn't fund and train them in the first place?) Operation Ajax.

If we left our security to you, planes would be hitting skyscrapers every day.

Monk,
Whos tellin who to grow up?
Wars are between good and bad guys and the USA is a good country and its leaders are good people and we protect others and help them and our soldiers and CIA keep America safe, only a few people die biaccidentally, thats just to bad, because you know, we are more important, we must keep overthrowing legitimate governments and supporting extremists and.......
Wait a second.
Lets let REALITY come in.
Wars really aren't between 'good' and 'bad' guys. Usually, they are between equally evil and bad people. America has made some serious mistakes, and 9/11 is a sign of that, so are other terrorist attacks around the world and the outcry of those in the Middle East. Maybe we should re-think our foreign policy, as our government is very deeply in debt and we are creating enemies daily. America needs to stop meddling in the affairs of other people and ruining their lives, and then the military has to come in and deal with the mess the CIA created.
Wake up man.
All you have is fear tactics.
