Superleague Formula by Sonangol points leader Davide Rigon took a significant step towards clinching the 2010 title and a prize of a 1,000,000 by winning the Pole Shoot-out in the final round of the season at Navarra today.

A lvaro Parente belied his lack of track time and late arrival in China to take a superb pole position for Superleague Formula by Sonangol's first-ever street race in Beijing.

However his win was only confirmed after the race when Franck Perera , the winner on the road, was penalised three seconds for lining up in the wrong position on the grid.

The Briton, signed by the Greek giants as a replacement for the injured Chris van der Drift for last montha s round at Adria, demonstrated his ability by making the semi-finals and taking fourth on the grid at the Italian circuit, but missed the recent trip to Portimao due to a clashing commitment.
