Wage revised, Kanthalguri opens today

June 19: The Kanthalguri Tea Estate will reopen tomorrow, the move made possible after tripartite talks yesterday during which the management agreed to pay workers Rs 85 a day, up from Rs 65. On May 14, the management had left the garden after announcing suspension of work because of an agitation by the workers who wanted higher wages.
