Suicide fuels UP sugar protests
Lucknow, Nov. 29: A sugarcane farmer with a Rs 2 lakh loan was found hanging from a tree in a forested patch near his home in Lakhimpur Kheri district, stoking protests by cane-growers caught in a price tussle between mill-owners and the state government.
