Recently successful independent candidates of National Assembly, Awais Leghari and Jamal Leghari of Dera Ghazi Khan, have joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz . The sons of former president Farooq Leghari, Awais Leghari and Jamal Leghari along with other three independent candidates met the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind.

More independents joined the PML-N on Wednesday, putting it in a comfortable position to form governments in the Centre, Punjab and Balochistan; and stand by in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in case the PTI-led coalition fails to set up government.

Several candidates representing famous castes including Khar, Gormani, Jatoi, Kanjo Waranar, Qaisrani, Leghari and others, whose family members have remained in assemblies, will also continue to represent 'political dynasty' from Southern Punjab.
