Manny Malhotra broke a 1-1 tie in the second period with two goals Sunday, carrying San Jose to a 4-1 win over Philadelphia Malhotra had gone 18 regular-season games without a goal before scoring twice in a span of 2:14. He lifted a backhander past Brian Boucher 7:51 into the second and then beat Boucher with a wrist shot.
