Yet another season of NHL hockey is coming to a close, and once again the Toronto Maple Leafs find themselves on the outside looking in.

For example, Leafs fans wouldn't want to talk about the Leafs goaltending issue.

It's been a long, tumultuous and agonizing last eight years or so to be a Leaf fan, and this year's collapse after the All-Star break may be a breaking point for Leafs Nation.

It's believed Luongo would prefer moving back to Florida, provided there's interest from either the Florida Panthers or the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Brian Burke remains the executive in charge of Toronto Maple Leafs but after four years at the collapsing centre of the hockey universe he seems more like someone in public office slowly losing his grip on power.
